Who am I?
I’m what you might call a late starter in photography, not really getting truly involved with the mechanics of photography until I was in my late 20’s.
At that time I became Media Manager at Great Wakering Rovers FC, producing everything from a website, matchday programme and of course, photographs from the game.
In all honesty, photography has always been close to my heart. . From the hundreds, if not thousands of photographs that were taken of my first born, to family holidays, a camera was never far from my grasp.
I”ve been at a few clubs ever since but photography has always been very close to my heart and starting ‘Offside Photography’ was a means to bring good exposure to grassroots clubs.
What do I do?
Although I am Media Manager for Catholic United, I still freelance and try to get to as many clubs as I can throughout the season.
As a Nikon man, I am fortunate to have pro-level camera bodies, accompanied by wide aperture lenses so I am able to operate in low light situations, which is perfect for evening games at non-league football level.
If any clubs have any specific requirements when I attend I’m more than happy to help to provide them with what they want. My post processing process is very quick and I’m usually able to provide a gallery of images for download within a 24-48 hour period.
Where am I?
I am based in Southend so I am fortunate to have a lot of local clubs around me, but my travels with Catholic United take me to Chelmsford and the outskirts of London.
I’ve been fortunate to photograph at some great clubs, big and small. These include, Colchester United, Concord Rangers, Buckhurst Hill, Benfleet FC, Aveley FC, Brentwood Town, Braintree Town to name but a few…….
I am more than happy to travel to venues and events if I’m available.
